Why This Exists

We see entrepreneurship as a vehicle for contribution, problem-solving and human growth.

Engenesis is guided by a 500-year vision to help elevate the practice of entrepreneurship globally. Our work spans venture building, books, leadership and effectiveness education, university relationships, investor ecosystems and founder programs across 45+ countries. Across that work, we have seen that a company's growth is often inseparable from the founder's growth.

VGI exists because growth often bottlenecks around the founder, the team or the operating model. The wrong growth focus can waste months of energy, capital and founder attention; the right diagnosis can help a founder lead the next stage with more clarity, responsibility and conviction.

Customer growth is inconsistent.

You have activity, but not yet a repeatable acquisition engine.

Product traction is unclear.

Users, buyers or partners are not converting in the way the model requires.

Scale decisions feel premature.

The venture is moving, but the team, model or commercial foundations may not yet support the next stage.

Strategic options are multiplying.

You need a clearer way to decide which path deserves focus now.

Inside The Workshop

Work on the venture itself, not just abstract growth ideas.

VGI is a live, interactive online session, not a webinar. In a practical 90-minute diagnostic, you join with your camera and mic on to apply Engenesis' venture strategy lens to your own startup, pressure-test current assumptions and identify the decisions that matter for the next stage.

1

Diagnose growth bottlenecks

Identify what is affecting customer growth, product traction, scalability or the next stage of venture growth.

2

Clarify customer growth opportunities

Identify where your offer, acquisition strategy or customer growth engine may need sharper focus.

3

Strengthen traction and scalability

Review whether your product, business model, team and growth channels can support repeatable traction and sustainable scale.

What Founders Have Received

In their own words.

These examples come from a range of Engenesis founder and venture programs, including longer engagements than VGI. They show the kinds of growth questions, strategic decisions and commercial shifts founders have worked through with Engenesis.

"We almost made the $100k revenue we had previously in just one month of the program."
Emmanuel Jacobs, Engenesis founder program
"We have been able to acquire more than 250 users in the last 30 days."
Ayodeji Ilesanmi, Engenesis founder program
"We were able to revisit and rework our roadmap and customer personas with much-needed clarity."
Chukwuka Ezeoke, Engenesis founder program
"It was great to see strategy, financials, product and psychological themes presented in a cohesive framework."
Luca Sorgiacomo, Engenesis founder program

Founder outcomes vary by venture, stage, program and engagement length. These examples are not presented as expected VGI outcomes; they show the broader kinds of commercial questionas and strategic shifts founders have worked through with Engenesis.

Who Should Apply

Built for founders who want to grow as leaders while building ventures that can grow with them.

This may be right for you if:

  • You are building a technology, innovation-driven or scalable venture.
  • You have a working product, early users, revenue, partners or a serious commercial hypothesis.
  • You are trying to unlock customer growth, improve traction, prepare for capital or make a strategic scale decision.
  • You want practical scrutiny of the business and are willing to grow personally and professionally as the venture grows.

This is not designed for founders who:

  • Want a broad presentation rather than a practical working session.
  • Are not ready to examine the venture's current constraints honestly.
  • Do not want to complete a short questionnaire before the session.
  • Are looking for motivation without practical examination of the business.

What We Look For

A strong application gives us enough context to make the session practical.

The review looks for a real venture question, enough context to work with and a willingness to examine the business seriously. Polished pitch language is less important than useful context.

1

Current stage

Tell us where the venture is now, including traction, revenue, users, partners or market validation if relevant.

2

Growth constraint

Share what feels blocked, uncertain or strategically important in the next stage.

3

Founder intent

Show that you are ready to examine the business clearly and engage with practical feedback.

Who Will Be Leading

Led by Ariya Chittasy, Director of Engenesis Ventures.

Ariya has spent his career working directly with founders, and through Engenesis has been involved with over 800 companies and the study of more than 3,200 ventures across 45+ countries.

His focus is helping founding teams find the specific constraints holding back growth, then build the systems, traction and commercial foundations to scale with focus. He is also an author and speaker on entrepreneurship and long-term value creation, and works from the belief that a company's growth and a founder's growth move together.

FAQs

Questions before you apply.

Is this a working session?

Yes. VGI is designed as a practical venture diagnostic where selected founders examine their own startup, pressure-test current assumptions and clarify what deserves attention next.

What do approved applicants complete before the workshop?

Approved applicants complete a short questionnaire so the session can be grounded in their venture stage and current growth questions.

Will every startup be reviewed live?

Selected examples and recurring patterns may be reviewed during the workshop. The aim is to help founders apply the same thinking to their own venture.

What will I leave with?

You should leave with sharper clarity around current growth constraints, higher-leverage opportunities and practical priorities to take back into the business.

Is every application approved?

No. Places are selective so the session is focused on founders and ventures that are aligned with the workshop format.
